Maturity and Professionalism -
Each member of =|WhipS|= clan, is expected to maintain a certain level of professional conduct while they are part of our team.
- No Profanity or Abusive Language: The use of profanity in public communications or towards other team members indicates a lack of core professionalism and a tendency towards improper emotional outbursts not suited for our community.
- No Questionable Behavior: Any team member who engages in behavior that actually or potentially tarnishes the name and image of the team is a liability to the entire community and will not be tolerated.
- Zero-Tolerance for Cheating and Hacking: Cheating and hacking is a scourge on the greater gaming community, so any use of any cheats or hacks either as an experiment or in actual gameplay demonstrates a lack of professional values and damages our community. We cooperate fully with anti-cheating organizations and are a self-policing organization.
- Professional Attitude and Demeanor: We expect that all members will treat all other members and the general public in a manner that will bring us pride. We seek those who are like-minded in their demeanor and possess an attitude of cooperation and personal discipline.
How we Recruit -
In our recruiting process, the =|Whips|= clan is looking for new members that will be a compliment to our community. However, unlike other teams, we do not recruit solely based on the gaming skills of the potential new member.
- No Skill Requirements: The objective of our recruiting efforts is to supplement our community with people who possess the professional attitude that we seek. Since not all mature individuals may have great gaming skills, we seek solid individuals first, and then if needed we teach the skills to make that player a great gamer.
- Fair Standards: We base our recruiting on the attitude and activity level of each person, not based on other factors (such as gender, location, personal beliefs, or other personal characteristics).
- Open Communication throughout the Process: We strive to make the recruiting process as open as possible for those with the right attitude, and our application officers will try to meet and play with you as often as possible.
Opportunities for Advancement -
- The long-term future of the team is dependent on bringing new leaders into the fold and allowing them to gain the practical experience necessary to lead the team. We constantly seek members with the organizational skills, patience, time, and temperament required for the challenge of leadership. Most members will get started on this path by becoming an officer within their division and assisting their leaders with a specific task. Over time, if you clearly demonstrate your capacity to lead and willingness to commit to the responsibility and time required to properly manage the more senior aspects of the team, you can advance into a higher leadership position.
- When leadership positions are vacant, notices are posted on our message board with information about the position, any requirements it has, and whom to contact to be considered for the position. Interested members can also ask their leaders to see if they need any additional staff assistance.
